MAKE SOMETHING: WEEK 3 CHALLENGE

WEEK 3 CHALLENGE: MAKE SOMETHING YOU WOULD NORMALLY BUY

This week’s challenge is much more fun than last week’s. This week I am challenging myself to make something that I would typically purchase.

I want to try to make my favorite takeout food, Dan Dan Noodles. I will be using this recipe from the Lady and Pups blog to try and recreate my favorite take out at home.

I was also inspired by this Martha Stewart article Ten Things to Stop Hoarding that Grace over at Design*Sponge shared. I really related to the idea of replacing your mismatching mugs with a beautiful simple matching set. I was plotting a trip to Homegoods when I remembered that I have everything that I need to make my own set of mugs, and how nice and personal that would be. I think it would make me happy every morning to open my cabinet and to take part in the ritual of coffee with objects that I made. So that is on my to-do list. A set of 6 coffee mugs for us. They are something that I would typically buy but I am going to make.

Other ideas to inspire you could be coffee, or bread. You could sew an article of clothing or do your own nails. I’m so excited to hear what you guys come up with.

Liz I finally got a chance to check out that site and I love it. Definitely bookmarking. I am very curious about medicine making! We’ve got some elderberry syrup in the fridge that I am going to have to put to use. Please keep me posted on your adventures!
